I would not compare racist stuff like LOTR with this battle - we are not fighitng subhuman races (orks) with northman heros (rohan) - we are simply enjoying EVE at its best. I do not give a **** for racism.

Really, I don't understand why someone would even talk about "whipping more life" out of a militia pilot just to get them to pvp. It must be a gallente mindset.

You know there are stations in eve that are unconquerable, and you can have the most risk evasive pvp ever, it's called Eggelhende.

Anyway, it just seems to me there was more frequent "epic big stuff" that happened in faction war a few years back. Armor battleship brawls were pretty much a weekly thing between the various factions, sometimes with pirate third parties thrown in the mix. Nowadays it feels like there's either less High SP players or less FC's willing to do these kinds of things.
